Obituary of Linda Debner

Age 69, of Elk River, died March 1, 2019.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dennis, her parents, Avold and Evelyn, and many much-loved fur-babies.  She is deeply missed by her daughter, Kristin (Jerry), and many dear friends.  She had an amazing ability to take what life threw at her and come out stronger.  When finding herself widowed at a young age with a new infant to care for, she pulled herself together and went back to school to become a nurse.  At age 45, she was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus, but she kept on going strong.  She worked hard to care for her family, but always made sure she had time to spend with them.  (She was never-ending Room Mother for her daughter throughout elementary school.)  She loved reading and learning, so at age 40, she went back to school to finish her Bachelor’s Degree and then went on to earn her Master’s Degree.  Linda loved traveling, taking many road trips with her daughter through the years.  She also loved traveling to the warmer climates, to walk along the beaches breathing in the salt air.  Hawaii was one of her favorites, traveling there frequently since her semi-retirement.  She will be forever remembered for her love of family and friends, her wonderfully dry sense of humor and infectious laugh.  Anyone finding themselves in her small circle of close friends counted themselves lucky.  We will miss her greatly.  Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.  Memorials preferred to Lupus Foundation of America or your favorite “no-kill” animal shelter.
