Obituary of Terrence "Terry" Roger Raycraft

Terrence “Terry” Roger Raycraft, 87, of Duluth, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2020 surrounded by his family and friends.

Terry was born September 28, 1932 to Blair Raycraft and Alice Carlson. He graduated from Two Harbors High School in 1950 and attended the University of Minnesota-Duluth. After that he was employed by the DM&IR as a Trackman. Then he was stationed at Fort Ord, California in the Army. He married Ardelle (Lulu) Holmstrom on June 30, 1956. In the late 50’s he graduated from Pharmacy School in Fargo, North Dakota.

Terry was a prominent Pharmacist and co-owner of the Proctor Pharmacy for fifty years. His caring commitment to his customers was extremely exceptional. His hobbies were woodworking, his walking sticks and canes were his commendable creations along with gardening and photography. Proctor prospered from his contributions to the community. Prior to his death he met monthly for lunch with his fellow high school classmates. He enjoyed camping, traveling, hiking, biking and family functions. He was active in his church, preparing pasties and the turkey dinners were awesome activities for him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Blair and Alice, his in-laws, Randy and Millie Holmstrom, his step-brother Pat Raycraft, his brother-in-law, Loren Holmstrom.

Terry is survived by his wonderful wife Lulu Raycraft, his children, Kevin (Kathy) Raycraft, Tim (Sue) Raycraft, Mary (Dave) Nelson, Kathleen (Michael) De Baiso, grandson, Aaron De Baiso, step-brothers, Blair (Shari) Raycraft, Ritchie (Ann) Raycraft, step-sister-in-law Jan Raycraft, sister-in-law Barb Holmstrom, along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation: 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Memorial Service, Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Forbes United Methodist Church located at 33 Grove Street in Proctor, Minnesota 55810. The family would like to extend our genuine gratitude to the staff for their compassionate care given graciously to Terry at Keystone Bluffs Assisted Living and St. Mary’s Medical ICU.

In lieu of flowers memorials are appreciated.
