Obituary of Karin Rose McComb

MCCOMB, Karin age 86 of Richfield, passed away February 25, 2020. Karin was a lover of cars, dogs, painting, gardening, and all things British. Cars were a lifelong passion that she shared with her late husband, Ray. They married on June 15, 1961 at the Little Brown Church in the Vale. They owned several Corvettes throughout the years and were longtime members of the Corvettes of Minnesota club. Karin and Ray autocrossed an 850 Mini with some success, leading to their collection and restoration of 4 Minis. Karin’s several tours through England on canal boats were a highlight of her life. She was an Anglophile when it came to cars, tea, vacation destinations, and literature. Karin was known to her friends and family as an exceptional painter. Her raspberry bushes were her pride and joy. She was an active long-time volunteer at the Guthrie Theatre and Dakota County Historical Society. Karin loved her large dogs and small bird. Alfie, Bentley, and Elroy were forever in her heart. Late in life, she was a host for Pets Are Inn, a local boarding service for dogs. Karin was preceded in death by her husband and sister Sandy. She is survived by her siblings Margaret, Nancy, and Allen, nieces and nephews, and beloved friends. Karin’s Life Celebration will be held July of 2020.
