Obituary of Duane Allan Reamer
Duane Allan Reamer age 60 lifelong resident of Duluth began his new journey Friday, February 21, 2020 while at Solvay Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born June 10, 1959 in Duluth to Russell, Sr. and Gail Reamer. Duane received a certification in truck driving and was proud to be the owner/operator of his own business, Duane Reamer Trucking and a member of Teamsters Union 346. On January 16, 1998 Duane married Candy S. Cameron.
Duane was an avid Harley rider, member of the Arrowhead Riders Motorcycle Club and also an avid Viking fan, win or lose. He had an infectious giggle and when he laughed everybody laughed. Duane loved spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
Duane was preceded in death by his father; a sister, Kelly Luchtenburg and brother, Rusty Reamer, Jr.
He is survived by his loving wife, Candy; the pride and joy of his life, daughter, Emily (Tanner) Eckstrom; four grandchildren, Payton, Kinley, Avery and Tucker; his mother, Gail (Jim Vondane); Brother, Scott Reamer and sister, Tammy (Ray) Chaffey; mother-in-law, Kathy Dieter; special nephew, Justin Reamer; pet dog, Cooper; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Dr. Steven Clappier, Dr. Alkaied and the staff of Solvay Hospice House for their compassion and care of Duane.
Gathering of family and friends from 9 a.m. until the 10 a.m. memorial service Saturday, Feb. 29th in the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth.
