Obituary of Lowell Patrick Paine, Sr.

Son of Samuel & Margaret (Green) Paine. Born October 3, 1939 in Minneapolis, MN He grew up on the family potato farm in rural Osseo, MN. Baptized March 30, 1952 and Confirmed April 6, 1952 by Albert Schmitt at United Methodist Church in Brooklyn Center Graduated from Osseo Senior High in Osseo, MN. He was united in marriage to Irene Burns on July 18, 1959. They were blessed with 60 years of marriage also six children. After their marriage they lived in the Benson, MN area. Through the years they also lived in the Minneapolis area, Webster and New Richmond, Wisconsin in Osseo and Gaylord. Lowell enjoyed driving bus for many years for MTC, Zepher Lines and Jefferson Lines. He traveled around the United States and Canada on the Bus Routes, doing tours and Charter runs. When he was not on the road, he worked in the Jefferson Lines office and as the Union Steward for the bus drivers. Lowell received the One Million Mile awards with no accidents two times and was working on his third. He enjoyed woodworking, family camping trips, traveling and driving. He loved to tell stories and to be a teaser. He also had a green thumb for growing African Violets like his mom. After retirement the couple moved back to Gaylord, MN Lowell died on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital reaching the age of 80 years. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred. Private interment Mound Cemetery, Brooklyn Center.
