Obituary of John (Jack) W Gellatly

John (Jack) W Gellatly, 88, of Hermantown, born Oct 5, 1931 passed away peacefully on Feb 12, 2020 at Diamond Willow Assisted Living surrounded by his loving family. Jack served in the Coast Guard during the Korean War before working over 30 years for the DM&IR Railroad.

Jack is preceded in death by his parents Ruth and William Gellatly, and sister Lanie (Bill) Bester.

Jack is survived by his wife of 65 years Muriel Gellatly, his children John (Tracy) Gellatly, Penny (Mike) Kaspszak, David (Debbie) Gellatly, Scott Gellatly, Laura (Art) Hassinger, 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren and 26 step-great-grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be from 10-11 am followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am, Saturday, Feb 29, 2020 at Forbes Methodist Church located at 33 Grove Street in Proctor MN 55810. The family would like to extend our deepest gratitude for the compassion and loving care Jack received from Diamond Willow Assisted Living and Hospice.
