Obituary of Bernard James Dicks

Bernard J. Dicks. Born in Sauk Centre, MN in 1916. Died on February 15, 2020. He was the only son of 7 children. Preceded in death by his wife, Mary; sons, Bernard, Jr., Michael and Kevin. Survived by sons, William, Thomas and Gregory; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, relatives, friends and golf buddies. He was a graduate of South High and worked as a butcher until he joined the Marines. He fought in the Pacific and took great pride in being a Marine. He returned to help raise his family. He was a long time member of Holy Rosary Church where he and his wife sang in the church choir. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 AM, visitation 10:00 AM, Saturday, April 18 at St. Albert the Great Church 2836 33^rd Avenue S., Minneapolis. He will be interred at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery along with his wife, Mary.
