Katherine Ann “Katie” (Langer) Robertson 

1979-2020 

Katie (Langer) Robertson, age 40, of Minnetonka, passed away peacefully February 14, 2020 surrounded by family and friends. Preceded in death by her grandparents, Katie is survived by parents William and Claudette Langer; husband Travis Robertson; children Owen and Oliver; siblings Mike (Catherine) Langer and Terri (Jon) Schulz; cousin Sarah Yurk and many other loving relatives and friends.   

Katie was born in Saint Louis Park, MN and grew up in Eden Prairie, graduating from Eden Prairie High School. At EPHS, Katie was one of the first female pole vaulters in school history. From there, she attended College of Saint Benedict where she participated in track and field and graduated with a degree in Business and Psychology. Katie enjoyed a successful career in Advertising while working at Target and Little & Company on many important marketing initiatives. She later contributed her excellent planning and organizational skills to the Clear Springs Elementary PTO and the Frauenshuh Cancer Center’s inaugural Patient Advisory Board.  

Katie was the brightest light, radiating love and kindness to everyone she met. If you knew her for five seconds, you wanted her to be your friend forever. She would make new friends in any room she walked into, and made smiling wonderfully contagious. Beautiful, warm, playful and funny, Katie also possessed the best set of listening ears you’ve ever seen. She was a fighter too, battling cancer three times with absolute grace and determination. Her favorite things were her family “Team Robertson”, traveling, meeting new people, sailing on Lake Superior, poolside Yahtzee, petting any nearby dog, cake decorating, sloths, puzzle rooms, extra condiments, butterflies, LEGO minifigs, planning elaborate garage sales, Disney movies, hot tubs, Game of Thrones and cuddling with her dog Luna.
