Obituary of Daniel "Larry" McTavish

Daniel “Larry” McTavish, age 83 lifelong resident of Duluth, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 12, 2020 while at St. Luke’s hospital.

Larry was born in Duluth on May 12, 1936 and was a graduate of Duluth Central High School.

He married Barb Kreager on September 21, 1956 in Duluth. Larry retired after 30 + years at Superwood.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. Larry loved the outdoors and watching football and golf on TV.

He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Frank McTavish; his parents, Duncan and Emma and a brother, Russell “Mouse”.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; his children, Michael (Debra), Scott (Lori), and Julie (Kevin) Romano; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren; his brother, Duncan (Virginia) and his sister Bonnie Thompson; sister-in-law Carole (Jeff) Shelton; his best buddy Taz; and many other relatives and friends.

A special thank you to Dr. Alkaied for giving us an extra five great years with Larry.
