Obituary of Betty Mae Lund

Betty Mae Lund 88, of Duluth, MN passed away on Feb 10, 2020 at Heritage Haven.

Betty was born in 1931 in Duluth MN to Harry and Emma Olson.

After the completion of her high school education Betty went to the Duluth Business University for their secretary program.

She was employed as a surgical secretary at Miller Dwan where she would partially retire from at the age of 62. She would then work as the assistant manager at Greysolon Plaza where she also lived for many years and where she made many friends.

Betty was a faithful member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. She was known for her volunteer work and was nominated for the City of Duluth Hall of Fame in  2002.

She enjoyed playing cards, puzzles, taking walks, and was an avid reader but most of all she loved her family. Betty will be remembered as a giver, her care for others, her beautiful green eyes and loving smile

Preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Lester Olson, Carl Olson, George Olson, sisters, Myrtle Johnson, Delores Olson and son, Thomas “Tommy” Majchrzak.

Betty is survived by her children Larry Majchrzak, Linda Majchrzak, Kevin Lund, 5 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am Thursday, Feb 13, 2020 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 1108 E 8th St., Duluth, MN
