Obituary of Gary Owen Bolander

Gary Owen Bolander, born March 18, 1943 in St. Paul Minnesota, passed away unexpectedly in St. Luke’s ICU on Saturday February 1, 2020, surrounded by his loved ones.

Gary was an army veteran serving in Vietnam-Pink Panther Division. Gary married Diane Bukowski on February 14, 1970 at St. Josephat National Catholic Church. Gary was employed at Coca Cola, Kemps Seafood and retired from Cirrus Aviation.

Gary enjoyed bowling, puzzles, watching the Twins and Vikings. The family wishes to thank Doctors, Jenna Clappier, Tim LeMaster, Steven Kuross, Craig Gilbertson and the 5th floor ICU team for the wonderful care given to Gary and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin & Ethel Bolander; sister, Karin Dillner; sister-in-law, Sandi Bolander; and his mother and father-in-law, Raymond and Irene Bukowski.

Gary is survived by his wife of 50 years, Diane; brother, William, Henderson, NV, half-sister, Muriel Parker, St. Paul; brother-in-law, Roger (Criss) Bukowski; sisters-in-law, Claudia (Mark) Peterson, Joy Breeding; many nieces and nephews; and loving friends, Lynn and Lloyd.

Visitation: 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. Memorial Service, Thursday, February 13, 2020 at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave, in Duluth.
