Obituary of Patricia Ann Milbrandt

Patricia Ann Milbrandt (Manly) of Dassel Minnesota, passed away on February 1^st, 2020 at 68 years of age, after a heroic, nine-year battle with breast cancer.  Pat was born on May 2^nd 1951, to Robert Manly and Margaret Manly (Bruzak) and grew up in Northeast Minneapolis where she attended St. Charles of Borromeo Catholic school (K-8) and St. Margaret’s Academy (class of 1969) and St. Cloud State where Pat met the love of her life—Walter (Wally) and married him on June 19^th, 1971. Throughout her life Pat expressed joy and love for family, friends and church! Pat brought energy to everything she did.  Her laughter was infectious, her positive attitude and faith in God unwavering, and her love and care for others unending. As a wife and mother, Pat showed tireless devotion to creating a loving home and being an active member of her faith community. Pat’s hobbies included dance, where she excelled as an instructor of ballet, tap, and jazz; games, family vacations, fishing and watching the sun set.  Pat is survived by her husband, children Keri (m. Jamie Maki), Jackie (m. Lawben Byaruhanga) Julie Johnson (divorced) and Robert Milbrandt, nine grandchildren and her three siblings Gayle (m. William Turnquist), John Manly, and William Manly.  A life celebration and mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Darwin.  The wake will be held on February 9^th from 2 to 5pm and her mass and internment will be held on February 10^th at 11:00 am. Pat lived by three words which guided her throughout her life: “Dance, Laugh, Love.”  Memorial in lieu of flowers can be made to St.  Phillips Catholic School in Litchfield.
