Obituary of Dick Williams

Dick Williams was born in 1930 and died in 2020, his 90th year. He was a longtime area resident of Maple and Superior.

He served his country in the Air Force during the Korean War from 1950-1953. He taught middle school students for 31 years, mostly in the Maple School District. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in the woods. In recent years, he enjoyed spending time with friends Ron and Vivian Markley, Tom and Karen Franczyk, Mike Granlund, and Kathy Warzym.

He is survived by seven of his children: Bill (and Janis) Williams of Westminster, Colorado; Anne Treadwell of Hinckley, Minnesota; Fred Williams of Hudson, Wisconsin; Kris (and Hunter) White of Montgomery, Alabama; Dena Williams of Palmdale, California; Kelly Hager of Blacksburg, Virginia; and Lincoln Williams. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and his best nephew Billy Pirkola (and his sidekick Lance Boyle) of South Range, Wisconsin. He was predeceased by his oldest daughter, Barbara Williams of Rochester, Minnesota in 2003.

Services including military honors will be announced at a later date.
