Obituary of Myra Madelyn Blake
Myra Madelyn Blake, 82 passed away on January 16, 2020 in Burnsville, MN. Myra was born in Minneapolis on December 1st to Palmer and Kathryn (Spooner) Ramstad. She was the oldest of 6 children. Myra Graduated from Minnetonka High School in 1956. She later achieved an Associate’s Degree in Art from North Hennepin Community College. Myra had an eclectic eye for art and was very talented with her drawings and paintings. She loved animals of all kinds, especially her birds. She was an avid gardener, with her beautiful gardens and collection of Orchids. Myra enjoyed fishing and being out on the water, whether it was on a boat or jet ski. Her favorite pastimes were reading, painting, bingo, bean bags, day trips, cards, and above all, spending time with her family. Myra was an achiever and had a lot of dreams. She is survived by Daughter Bonnie Olson of Andover, KS, Daughter Cassandra Thurman (Patrick) of Fredericksburg VA, Son Earl Blake (Dia) of Prior Lake, and Son Zack Blake (Denise) of Clearwater, 9 Grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren, Brother Doug (Betty) of Melbourne, Florida and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by Her parents Palmer, Kathryn and Walt, son Nick, twin sister Myrna, sister Carol, and brothers Robert and Mike. Celebration of Life will be Friday, January 24 11 a.m. at River Valley Church,1350 Crossings Boulevard, Shakopee. Visitation 1 hour prior to service and lunch to follow.
