Obituary of Staff Srgt. Rex E Anderson

Staff Srgt. Rex E Anderson from Duluth, MN formally from Rock Falls, IL passed away at age 77 on Jan. 3rd 2020 at St. Lukes Hospice surrounded by family and friends.

Rex was born on Jan. 16th, 1942 to Ida and Ralph Anderson in Rock Falls IL. He met and married Brigitte Wiegard in 1966 while stationed in Fulida Germany. Rex served 22yrs in the Army National Guard and later with the Army Reserves. Rex is survived by his sister Ardtha, Brother Ralph Jr. and Tiny Tony who reside in Rock Falls IL, his Daughter Monika Ziesemer of Duluth MN, along with 7 grand children and 9 great-grandchildren: Jessica (Joe, Josi and Dakota Mosier) James Anderson, Kevin Conley, Scotty Blotti, Nicholas Blotti (Kristi, Wyatt and Tristin) John Blotti (Missy, Julia, Aleah, Chloe, Miranda, and Kali) and Matthew Blotti.

Rex is preceded in death by his parents Ida and Ralph Anderson, his wife of 47 years Brigitte Anderson, daughter Linda Blotti and great-granddaughter Kaitlyn Blotti. 

Service for Rex will be held on Jan. 16th 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Cremation Society of Duluth  4100 Grand Ave. Duluth, MN 55807
