Obituary of David Mark Ridgewell

David Mark Ridgewell, 63, of Duluth, Minnesota, passed away January 5, 2020, at Solvay Hospice House surrounded by his family.

Mark was born November 30, 1956, in Duluth Minnesota, the son of late David William and Bernice Catherine. He graduated from Cathedral and then continued his education receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the University of Minnesota Duluth. On May 18, 1985 he married the love of his life Linda. On November 29, 1987 and March 3, 1990, he welcomed his two sons Matthew and Jay.

Mark was devoted father and grandfather. He was an avid pool player. In 1988 he won the International Championship out in Reno, Nevada. His love for sports did not end there. Mark enjoyed coaching his sons when they were younger and had looked forward to watching his grandsons. He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Mark is survived by his wife, Linda Ridgewell; son, Matthew Ridgewell; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Sam Ridgewell; grandsons, Carter and Cayden Ridgewell; sister, Barbara Jensen; and nieces and nephews.

Mark was preceded into death by his dad, David W.; mom, Bernice; stepdad, Daniel Johnson.

Gathering of family and friends from 2-5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24th at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth.
