Obituary of Richard A. Roy

Roy, Richard A. "Ric" Age 70, of Bloomington, formerly of Delano, passed away on Dec. 25, 2019. Ric was born in Mpls and raised in Olivia, MN. He graduated from Olivia High School with the class of 1967 and from the University of Minnesota, Morris, class of 1971. In 1969 Ric married Barbara Branchaud and they had two sons, Sean (Lori) and Andrew who all survive him. He is also survived by his grandsons, Aidan and Brendan Roy; sister, Sandra Inman; and sister and brother in law, Bonnie and Terry Smith. Ric is preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Mabel Roy of Olivia, MN. Ric was a kind man, spending much of his professional life helping those who were vulnerable. He found the most enjoyment with family, friends, the theatre, music and being by the water. He will be sorely missed. Private services will be held. Memorials to Sharing and Caring Hands.
