Obituary of Loretta Annette Newgard

Loretta Annette Newgard was born April 5, 1946, in Minneapolis, MN to Clarence and Lottie (Pratt) Hennen. She lived in Boyd, MN until she was ten years old when they moved to Milaca, MN. Loretta was united in marriage to LeRoy Newgard on May 29, 1965 in Sioux Falls, SD. Loretta supported her family during the years and in 1989 they purchased the Bock Garage. Loretta and LeRoy ran the business together up until his passing in 2012 which she continued to run until her death.

Loretta enjoyed crocheting, making baby blankets for the grandchildren and great grandchildren, watching weekly oval dirt track racing with her husband and sons, relaxing while mowing lawn on her riding lawn mower and spending time with family.

She died on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at her home near Bock surrounded by her family and her faithful companion her dog Chelsea.

She is survived by her children: Tamara (John) Kelash of Oak Grove; Curtis (Tammy) Newgard of Milaca; Christine (Thomas) Mitchell of Bellevue, NE; Kevin (Tracy) Newgard of Milaca; grandchildren: Michael, James and Daniel Mitchell, Jesse and Christopher Newgard, and Arianna Newgard; great grandchildren: Bentley and James Newgard, Rayna Newgard. Sisters: Marlene (Chandler) Olson of Hackensack, MN; Marion Mattson of St. Cloud, MN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother-in-law.
