Obituary of Rickey Allen Grimm

Rickey Allen Grimm, 63, of Mahtowa MN, passed away December 9th after a 6 week battle with CJD.

Rick was born to Helen (Ostby) and Robert Grimm, the 3rd of 7 children. He graduated from Barnum High School in 1975. Rick was joined in marriage to Joy Skog on June 2nd, 1979 , celebrating 40 years this summer.

He retired as a cement mason for Local 633. Since retiring 8 yrs ago, Rick enjoyed spending time having coffee with family and friends, daily trips to Menards, trips to Las Vegas, being Mr. Fix-it, and his love of music with talent in playing the drums, guitar and harmonica.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen Grimm; brother, Mel Grimm; and niece, Brianne Grimm.

Rick is survived by his wife, Joy; daughter, Ryan Grimm and sons, Justin and Kyle (Farrah) Grimm; grandchildren, Aryah, Hera and Faith; siblings, Terry (Brian) Sweeney, Rodney (Nancy) Grimm, Tim (Cindi) Grimm, Todd (Lisa) Grimm, Brenda (Rod) Servaty; sisters-in-law, Mary, Jane (Mark), Betty and Becky (Mary); numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Visitation from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. memorial service Saturday, Dec. 21st at Good Hope Church, 55 Armory Rd, Cloquet, MN with Pastor Mike officiating.
