Obituary of Gordon B. Anderson

Gordon B Anderson, 92 of Kenyon passed away on Friday, November 29th at the Kenyon Sunset Home.

He was born on September 25, 1927 in Red Wing to Arthur and Clara (Neseth) Anderson. He graduated from Kenyon High School in 1945. He served in the Army from 1945-1947. He farmed in Holden Township until moving into Kenyon in 1992. He married Lou Ann Hallanger at Urland Lutheran Church in Lien Township on June 8, 1957. He did road maintenance for Holden Township as a motor grader operator for 37 years. He loved fishing, playing cards, golf and meeting with his coffee groups.

He is survived by his children: Linda (Rick) Canton of Pine Island, David (Pam) Anderson of Lakeville, Debra (Fred) Zbacnik of Elbow Lake and Mary (Jon) Held of Kenyon, 9 grandchildren: Nicholas (Jennah) Vold, Jacob Brekken, Holly (Matt) LaBoda, Jana (Ethan) Eggert, Laura (Griffin) Leitch, Whitney (fiancé Alex Christianson) Canton, Emily Osdoba, Jacalyn Anderson, Sam Anderson, 5 great grandchildren: Landon Vold, Cohen Vold, Sadie LaBoda, Ruby Eggert and Camden Leitch and brother Arleigh Anderson.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Clara, wife Lou Ann, grandson Christopher Held and sister Burdelle Hallanger.

A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00pm, Thursday, December 5th at First Lutheran Church in Kenyon. The burial will take place immediately after the service at Little Cannon Cemetery north of Kenyon.
