Obituary of Jeanette A. (LeMar) Green

After a short illness, Jeanette passed away with her family by her side at Essentia Health/St. Mary’s. She was the youngest daughter of John and Mary LaMar’s 13 children. She was born January 30, 1939 in Aitkin, MN and the family later moved to Superior, WI.

Jeanette loved spending time with family and friends at their cabins on Sandbar Lake in Barnes, WI. She enjoyed gardening and landscaping projects at both her house and cabin, as well as, bird watching, rummage sales, watching romantic comedies and her loving dog Irish.

Jeanette is survived by her husband of 64 years, John “Jack” Green, children Lynne LaMar and Bryan (Kerri) Green, grandchildren Rachel, Matthew, Briana (Jeffrey), Karaline and great grandson Cooper, four sisters in Texas: Violet, Lucille, Rose & Dorothy, brother Donald from Superior,WI, also special cousins Richard & Barbara Kolu.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, November 27, at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth, MN, with a visitation one hour prior. Burial at Park Hill Cemetery.

A small memorial will also take place at a later date at her beloved Sandbar.
