Obituary of Jack R. Van Nispen

Jack R. Van Nispen age 93, longtime resident of Duluth passed away Friday, November 15, 2019 at the Benedictine Health Center, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born April 20, 1926 in Minot, N.D. to Jack and Petra Van Nispen. Jack was a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Navy having served in Guam.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Gerry (Jezierski); grandson, Adam Bozinski; brothers, Richard, Lloyd and Donald; sister, Jean Smith.

He is survived by his children, Doug (Sue Parker) Van Nispen; Lourie (Ed) Bozinski and Linda (Steven) Zimski; Grandchildren, Jordan (Miranda Nichols) Parker, Byron (Hillary Wightman) Parker, Amanda (Mike) Witzke, Jackie (Cary Cardinal) Zimski, Amy (Clint Kennedy) Zimski and Sarah Zimski; five great-grandsons; and his sister, Nettie Novotney.

The family would like to thank the staff of the rehabilitation center at the Benedictine Health Center for the excellent care and respect they gave their father.

Gathering of family and friends from 2 p.m. until the 3 p.m. memorial service Thursday, Nov. 21st in the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave.
