Obituary of John Albert Schultz

SCHULTZ, John Albert “Nick”, passed away on Monday, Nov. 4, 2019 at the age of 92 years.  He was born on June 8, 1927 in Dundalk, MD to John and Viola Schultz.  At 17, he enlisted in the Navy during WWII and served on the U.S.S. Athanasia.  After being discharged from the Navy, he moved to date and eventually marry his loving bride, Barbara (Skovgaard).  Nick worked as a ticketing agent for United Airlines for 32 years before retiring.  He was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout Leader and coached his daughter’s softball teams.  He faithfully watched or listened to the MN Twins and loved fishing.  Nick is loved and survived by his wife of 67 years, Barbara; children, Deborah (Joe) Wood, Michael (Janeen) Schultz, Veryl (Randy) Cermak, Kathy (Mark) Brosig, Nick (Stacey) Schultz, Lisa (Mike) Brezina; 20 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; many niece, nephews, cousins, other relatives and good friends.  He was preceded in death by three of his children; Jeffery, Sandra “Sonnie” and Scott.  Memorial Service 12 (Noon)  Monday, Nov 25 at Trondhjem Lutheran Church, 7525 Garfield Avenue, Lonsdale, MN  55046.  www.cremationsocietyofmn.com
