Obituary of Stanley Ross

 

Ross, Stanley Herbert “Stan” was born on September 7, 1949, in Duluth, Georgia to Kenneth and Sara Ross. He died peacefully November 8, 2019. Preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Nancy Brandjord Ross. He is survived by his sister Patsy Ross; Nancy’s siblings Jean (Jim) Anderson, Julie (Curt) Jackels, Robert (Pam Rober) Brandjord; nieces, nephews. After graduating from Henry High School in 1968, Stan served five years in the army, including two tours duty in Vietnam and was awarded the Purple Heart. He returned to Minnesota where he worked for the MN Department of Transportation until his retirement. Stan was a devoted husband to Nancy through their 27 years of marriage. Together they were avid Twins fans, enjoyed antiquing, and loved many pets, including Joe, his loyal companion. Stan had fun with his community at New Perspective Senior Living. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday November 19, 2019 at New Perspective Senior Living, 500 Carlson Pkwy, Minnetonka, MN. Interment will take place at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
