Jagow, Gerald H.

of Burnsville, formerly of Bloomington, MN passed away November 7, 2019 at age 87. Preceded in death by wife, Lavina; parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Survived by sons, Wayne (Shawn) Jagow, Terry Jagow, Jim (Michelle) Jagow; daughter, Deb (Brad) Robinson; grandchildren, Kyle, Erin, Caitlin (Ryan), Shelby, Jeremy, Sydney and Jacob; great-grandchild, Weston; sister, Betty (Merlin) Schulz; brother in-law, Don (Jan) Petrick; and many other relatives and friends. Jerry was born and raised on a farm in rural Holloway, MN. He graduation high school and then enlisted in the Air Force where he served 4 years as a radio operator flying throughout the far east. Upon leaving the service Jerry returned home and he and Lavina were married in July 1957. Jerry then started his career as an air traffic controller in St Louis, MO. And after 2 years in MO Jerry returned to MN where he worked the remainder of his 35 career as a controller at the Air Traffic Control Center in Farmington, MN where he retired as the Assistant Chief in 1992. After retirement Jerry and Lavina did some traveling and were very involved in volunteer activities at their church and community. They were also were very dedicated to their family and Jerry enjoyed hunting, any of the MN sports teams and following his grand kids many activities. Services will be held Wednesday November 13 at 11:00 AM at Redemption Lutheran Church, 927 E Old Shakopee Rd, Bloomington, MN with visitation Tuesday 5 - 7 PM and also one hour prior to service, all held at the church (Redemption Lutheran).
