Obituary of Jeffery Kozel

Jeffery (Jeff) John Kozel, 57, passed away at his home in October 20, 2019 in Brooklyn Park, MN.

Jeff was born on January 28, 1962, adopted by Harry and Doris Kozel. He grew up and graduated from high school in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. 

He attended University of Minnesota studying theater and computer science while becoming a chef at Sanford Hall and a manager at Centennial Hall. 

For over fifteen years Jeff worked for Visi, TDS and One Neck IT Technologies as a manager for customer support and then an administrator of security and telephony systems.

Having diverse interests in sciences, nature, arts and cuisine, Jeff taught cooking classes, attended science-fiction conventions, taught himself how to create special-effects make-up and prosthetics, worked at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival and won several awards for his efforts.

His favorite way to relax was with a book, a good cup of coffee and listen to his favorite to local folk bands.

Jeff is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Doris Kozel and birthsister Traci Pavez. He is survived by his wife Kasee (Johnson) Kozel, ex-wife Anjila Olsen, birthmother Karen Livingston-Court, birthsister Rebecca Court, cousins Robert Kozel and Roger Kozel. He is loved by his extended family of friends and will be missed.

A Celebration of Jeff's Life will be held Friday November 15, 2019 from 11:00 AM-3:00 PM with a service at 1:00 PM at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Park MN 55445
