Obituary of Richard Allan Johnson

Richard Allan Johnson was born October 5, 1940 passed Wednesday, October 30, 2019.

Richard (Dick) was a graduate of Proctor High School in 1959. He loved working on his cars and riding his motorcycle. He belonged to the Gold Wing Motorcycle Club and especially enjoyed riding in parades.

Dick worked as a Mechanic on the DMIR Railroad later to be the Canadian National. He worked at the Duluth Ore Docks and the Two Harbors Ore Docks.

He is survived by his children, Jeffrey Allen (Nancy) of Seattle, WA, Steven Wade (Kathy) of Hastings, MN and Jamie Lynn (Tony) Tollefson of Tacoma, WA; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; also survived by sisters, Betsey (Ken) Morse of Proctor, MN and Violet (Gerald) Morse of Roseburg, OR and his brother Paul Jorgensen of Proctor, MN; many nephews and nieces, and cousins.

Preceding him in death was his parents, Garnet and Rueben Johnson; brothers, Roger Johnson and Randy Jorgensen.

Gathering of family and friends from 9:00a.m. until the 10:00 a.m. memorial service Tuesday, Nov. 5th in the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Avenue Duluth, MN. Pastor Michael Blanchet will be officiating at the service.
