Holly Klund

Obituary of Holly Ann Klund

Holly passed away peacefully with her brother and sister by her side Sunday, October 20, 2019 after a brief, aggressive illness.

She was born January 29, 1952 in Duluth to Lois and Kenneth Klund. Holly attended East High School and graduated with a BA Degree from UMD. She was employed by Minnesota Power and retired after nearly 34 years of service, in the Word Processing and Graphic Design fields.

Holly’s major accomplishment following her retirement was working with her sister to plan and have a dream home constructed in Barnum on Big Hanging Horn Lake where she spent many enjoyable years.

She will be remembered for her love of gardening, baking, reading, traveling, camping, fishing and pontooning on the lake.

Holly loved the holidays, especially Christmas, Easter, Halloween and the 4th of July and always celebrated with decorations, family and friends, and traditional meals.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Holly is survived by her immediate family of brother, Randy Klund, sister, Stephanie Klund and her precious beagle, Sadie.

Holly requested a private family memorial service. A celebration of Holly’s life is planned for next summer at her home on Big Hanging Horn Lake.

Special thanks to all of the medical staff of St. Luke’s Hospital and Solvay Hospice House for the excellent treatment and kind care she received from everyone. Holly loved and was loved by her family, her many close friends, and all her beloved beagles through the years.

We love you Holly and we’ll hold you in our hearts forever.
