Obituary of Gene Johnson

Johnson, Gene Age 70 of Minneapolis, Minnesota passed away peacefully on October 18, 2019 surrounded by his loved ones. Gene was born on July 29, 1949 to James and Nellie Johnson in Minneapolis. He attended Minneapolis North High School and the University of Minnesota respectfully.Gene is survived by daughter Tonya Mayes (Brody), granddaughters Jaszmin Perkins and Idella Mayes-Jackson of Minneapolis; siblings Kaye Perry (Junior), Ruby Johnson, Michael Frank Johnson, Linda Johnson, Brenda Johnson, and Joan Johnson. He was preceded in death by his only son Gene Anthony, brother Harold Johnson, parents James and Nellie Johnson. Services will be held at The Cremation Society of Minnesota at 7110 France Avenue S, Edina, MN on Saturday, October 26, 2019. Visitation at 5pm and service to follow at 6pm.
