Obituary of David Arthur Wiehe

DAVID ARTHUR WIEHE – Age 72 

Passed away surrounded by Family on Monday, October 7, 2019 at North Memorial Hospital, Robbinsdale, MN.    

David was born on July 22, 1947 in Hibbing, MN to John and Marie Wiehe.  He grew up in Mahoning Location, attended Hibbing Schools and graduated from Bemidji State University with a degree in Accounting.  He worked at Dart Records until his retirement in 2006. He lived the last 13 years at The Residence at North Ridge in New Hope, Minnesota.    

David loved spending time with family at “The Ranch” in Togo, MN and the Wiehe Family cabin at Cross Lake, MN.  He enjoyed traveling throughout the country, and especially attending Broadway Shows in York City and NCAA Final Four Tournaments.  He was also generous with his time.  He volunteered for many years on the Diabetes Association card project and was also the “Ace Bingo Caller” at North Ridge.  

David was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jack (John) Wiehe, Jr.  He is survived by his sister in law, Doris Wiehe of Roseville, Mn,  sister Karen (Ron) Thompson of Laguna Woods, CA and loving nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and cousins.   

There will be a memorial service at The Residence at North Ridge 5500 Boone Avenue North, New Hope, MN on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at 6:30 pm, and interment at Maple Hill Cemetery, Hibbing, Minnesota.
