Offering prayers of peace for Katharine’s wonderful family. We were at Augsburg together, and her father was my religion prof. She was brilliantly creative and a gift to every community of which she was a part. She left too soon, and will be missed.

A group of us took a trip to the North Shore over the weekend of the 4th and met Katharine briefly when we visited her gallery. I bought two small pieces from her. We are a group of fellow educators and were absolutely charmed by her warmth, talent, and sense of humor. She was gracious and lovely. Our interaction was brief, but a couple of us were ecstatic to hear that she would be near us in November with more opportunities to see her work. I cannot imagine what a loss her passing is for her loved ones. What an amazing person she must be as she touched us deeply in our one small interaction.
