Obituary of Mary Alice Cary

Cary, Mary Alice (Kelly)

Age 94, the last "Kelly Kid", was born on August 15, 1925 and died on Saturday, August 24, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, twelve siblings and their spouses, several nieces and nephews, many friends, and beloved husband, Walter E. Cary, Jr. She is survived by three daughters: Ann (Bill), Marn (Joe), Cay (John); seven grandchildren: Ben, Marty (Jenny), Joe (Oley), Maria, Dan (Cassie), Aaron (Sonja), John; six great grandchildren: Ali, Jameson, Holden, Holland, Jessi, Beatrix; and other nieces and nephews. Throughout most of her life, Mary was a talented artist, crafter, seamstress, quilter, cookie baker, and loving, generous person. A Celebration of Life (and her talents) will be held on Sunday, October 27, from 2-4 pm, at Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Avenue, Edina, MN 55435, 952-925-4100. She will be buried at Fort Snelling National Cemetery with Walter. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or Our Lady of Peace Hospice. We are comforted in knowing that Mary is finally at peace and "her Irish eyes are smiling" once again.
