Obituary of Debra Kay LaFavor

LaFavor, Debra Kay, 64, passed away on Monday, October 7^th, 2019 at home in Duluth, MN.  She was born on February 23, 1955 in Willmar, MN.  Debbie enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, taking walks at Lester River Park in Duluth, talking on the phone with various family, family Board Game Night, and going on trips with KC and family.  She is preceded in death by her father Kenneth Melin, her mother Elaine Melin; sister, Pamela Stueve, and her beloved dog, Jack.  She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Kevin “K.C.”; children: Jeff LaFavor (Kathy), Mike LaFavor, Kris Church (Austin); grandchildren: Alyssa and Weston Church, Kaleb, Aiden and Noah LaFavor; siblings: David Melin (Joanne), Becky Nickolauson (Gary), Karen Melin, and Mark Melin, brother in-law Steve Stueve, and many nieces and nephews.  Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 11, 2019 at First Memorial Funeral Chapel, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd., Brooklyn Park, MN 55445. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to family and will be utilized to purchase a memorial bench in honor of Debbie.
