1927-2019

Lois D. Hobbs passed away at home on September 30, 2019, at the age of 92. She was born on July 24th, 1927 to William and Doretta Schewe in Sleepy Eye, MN. She was the middle child with 5 brothers and 1 sister.

Lois married Jerold Hobbs on December 3rd, 1955. She worked as a waitress until her son, Dean was born. She enjoyed gardening and bowling, and bowled on the ladies church league for 40 years. She loved most to be with her family and friends and never missed a family get together.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Hobbs, her parents, William and Doretta Schewe, her brothers, Fredrick Schewe, Silvan Schewe, Harold Schewe, Ralph Schewe and Robert Schewe, and her sister, Marion Mueller.

Lois is survived by her children, Calvin Hobbs, Susan (Charles) Nelson and Dean Hobbs, her grandchildren, Jason Hobbs, Jessica (Josh) Goulet, Chris Hobbs and Kelsey (Michael) Tomten, her great-grandchildren, Nick Hobbs, Grace Hobbs and Ryker Goulet, and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2019 at 11:00am with visitation 1 hour prior at Faith Lutheran Church, 499 Charles Ave, St. Paul, MN. A luncheon will immediately follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church or The American Cancer Society.
