Obituary of Renae Olwin

Olwin, Renae "Eaner" (Sutcliffe) (née Aalgaard) lost her battle to ALS in her home on September 27, 2019 in Eagan, MN at the age of 62. Renae is survived by her husband, Brian of Eagan, MN; daughters Summer Sutcliffe (Trevor Loats) of McKinney, TX, Chelsea Sutcliffe of Minneapolis, MN; son Jared Sutcliffe of Minneapolis, MN; and step-son, Shawn Olwin of Richfield, MN; brother, Ross Aalgaard (Paul Mendez) of Mankato, MN; grandchildren, Jonah and Parker Fairbanks, Lainey Loats, Cayden Anderson, Aliyah Sutcliffe, Jay-Charles Sutcliffe, Amani and Amana Sutcliffe, She is preceded in death by husband, Jay Sutcliffe; son, Jonah Sutcliffe; parents, Truman and Arleen Aalgaard; and grandparents. Renae was born on September 13, 1957 in Jamestown, ND to Truman and Arleen Aalgaard. She graduated from College of St. Catherine with a bachelor's degree in Nursing. Renae was the true definition of a patient advocate; many times getting her hand slapped for standing up for what was right for her patient. Being a Nurse defined her and brought her true satisfaction in serving people in need. Renae had an extreme love for Mickey Mouse and the color purple. Her favorite place on Earth was Disney World, which she had visited many times. She loved to garden, play solitaire, read, watch the Hallmark channel, ride her Harley and spend time at the cabin. Funeral will be Fri., Oct 4, at 11am at The Cremation Society of MN St. Paul Chapel, 1979 Old Hudson Rd, St. Paul, MN 55119 with visitation at 10am and a small reception to follow all in the same location. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Renae's life. It is Renae's wish that everyone wear their favorite color when you come to celebrate her life.
