Obituary of Thomas A Hudacek

Thomas A. Hudacek, 50, died peacefully on Saturday, September 14, 2019 surrounded by his loving family members at Essentia Duluth, of an undiagnosed lung disease.

He was a lifelong resident of Superior. He was born in Superior, WI on November 7, 1968 to Stephen and Julie (Anderson) Hudacek. Tom graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1987. He attended WITC for welding and more recently for advanced carbon fiber technology.

Tom enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. He genuinely cared about people and found the good in everybody. Tom was kind, patient and eager to help even if it was just by listening. He was well liked and a friend to everyone.

Tom had an interest in airplanes, cars and motorcycles. He always loved to hunt and fish and had the best times when sharing these activities with friends. Collecting was a passion and he liked sharing his “treasures” with family and friends.

He is survived by his cherished partner, Betty Pawlikowski, Superior, WI; stepchildren, Brittany MacDonell and Brianne MacDonell, both of Superior; siblings, Stephen T Hudacek, Superior, WI, Cheryl (Nick) Danculovich, Hibbing, MN, Gail Anderson Rosenbaum, Woodbury, MN, Timothy (Anita) Hudacek, Red Wing, MN and Tammy (Toby Akervick) Hudacek, Superior, WI; In-laws, Thomas (Sharon) Pawlikowski, Tower, MN, Mary Jo (Mike) Palmowski, Eveleth, MN, and Julie (Doug) Toms, Cincinnati, OH; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Micheal (Boomer) Hudacek; and In-law, Walter Pawlikowski. “Tom you were taken from us much too soon. We love you and miss you. Mom, Dad, Boomer and Walter are waiting for you.”

Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, October 5th with visitation starting at 10:00am at Holy Assumption, 5601 Tower Ave., Superior, WI and continuing until 11:00am memorial service with Rev. Father Ron Olson as celebrant.
