Obituary of Mary Tucker

Tucker, Mary Ann Age 70, beloved mother and grand-mother, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12th, 2019, at the Solvay Hospice House in Duluth, MN, surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born June 6, 1949 in International Falls, MN to Arne and Verna Nygard. She graduated from Falls High School in 1967, and served in the Navy from 1973 to 1977. Having received her BS in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Parkside and her CPA certification, she spent the next 33 years working as a Corporate Accountant all across the Twin Cities area. Mary had a strong faith and love for Jesus. She was a friend to many and a help to anyone in need. She had a love for gardening, reading, and music, and she encouraged these loves in her children and grandchildren. Her everyday joy was providing a forever home for her two dogs, Bonaro and Griffin.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Arne, her mother, Verna, and her brother, Arthur. She is survived by her sons Joseph (Jody), and James (Samantha), and grandchildren, Gwyndolyn, Rhiannyn, and James Jr., her sisters Lila (Stanley) Kuttes, Viola (Gary) Foster, and Vivian (Gary "Chip") Krug, brother, Henry, and many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 at 1:00pm at Brookdale Covenant Church (5139 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Center) with a dinner reception to follow. Flowers can be sent the church. Mary's final resting place will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in International Falls, MN.
