Obituary of Gerald L. Hanson

Gerald L. (Jerry) Hanson passed away on August 29, 2019. Preceded in death by his parents Hilmer & Norma Hanson and brother Steve. Jerry graduated from Hopkins High School, served proudly in the U.S. Navy and was the former owner of Normandale Liquors in Edina. He loved entertaining family and friends on Lake Minnetonka on his boat The Vintage”. He is survived by his partner Mary Nygaard, brothers Roger (Colleen), Curt (Wendy), nephew Chris (Lucinda), and his children Grace, Maggie, Charlie, Mary’s family, special Aunt Vivian and many family and friends. A Memorial Gathering will be held 5-7 PM on Friday September 6, 2019 at Cremation Society of MN, 7835 Brooklyn Blvd, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445.
