Obituary of Raymond E. Palin

Raymond E. Palin, 90, died August 22nd at North Shore Estates in Duluth. He was born December 27, 1928 at the farm home in Cedar Valley Township, Floodwood, MN and was the last survivor of ten children. Ray served in the U.S. Army from 1951-1953, was employed in the wire mill at U.S. Steel and later as a roofer with Jamar Co. He was a life member and former commander of DAV Post 6.

He is survived by wife, Verna, of 61 years, daughters Sandra Langsdorf (Stephen) and Janice Sanft (Robert); grandchildren Tara Langsdorf (Ian Burke), Eric Sanft (Carly), Jennifer Gurnard (Nicholas); great grandchildren Leo and Noah Ray Burke; 2 step grandchildren Kevin Sanft (Becky) and Paul Sanft (Tori Bahr) and their 4 children.Preceded in death by son Kevin Palin. 

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, August 30, in the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Duluth.
