Obituary of Margarete Elsbeth Anderson

Anderson, Margarete (Gitti) Elsbeth, 82, passed away July 22, 2019. Born in Bad Wildungen, Germany to Else (Baltrusch) and Erich Schmidt on Feb 19, 1937. Gitti came to the United States when she was 17 as a nanny. In 1962 Gitti started her career as a flight attendant with Northwest Airlines, flying worldwide especially to the Orient and England. Gitti retired from Delta in 1999 after flying for 37 years. From the early 1980’s until recent years Gitti and her dearest friend of 40 years, Peg Graff, could be seen walking their Boston Terriers around Lake Nokomis in Mpls. Gitti is remembered with much love by her adopted family, Peg Graff and her children, Meg (Jim) Parsons and Norman (Jenny Oliphant) Graff, their children, Evva, Elise, and Elaina Parsons, Hayden and Solvej Graff and their extended families. A special thanks to the Friendship Village Red Pine staff for their compassionate care.  A memorial service is planned for the end of the year. Memorials preferred to Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue.
