Obituary of Dwayne Paul Carlin

Carlin, Dwayne Paul Age 68 of South St. Paul, MN (formerly of Morris, MN) passed away peacefully on July 11, 2019 after a year-long battle with a variety of illnesses including lung cancer. Dwayne was born in Spokane, WA, on May 22, 1951, to parents Phyllis (Winter) and Peter Carlin. Dwayne earned a master's degree in political science through the U of M and had a brief career at the MN State Capitol. He went on to hold various managerial and director positions, the last being Director of Operations at Paper Roll Products in Eagan, MN. Dwayne was also an author, publishing two books. He was an avid MN Twins fan, enjoyed reading, doing crossword puzzles, cooking, and playing an occasional round of golf. A "larger-than-life" individual, Dwayne was loved by many and will be sorely missed. Dwayne is survived by his wife Gina (Karels), stepchildren Matt, Faith, & Josh Barrett, step-granddaughter Dacia Rose, sisters Pat and Jeanne (Anderson), and nephew, Eric. He is preceded in death by his parents and two infant nieces. A remembrance celebration is to be held at a later date.
