Obituary of James Frank Klejewski

James Frank Klejewski, 91, of Duluth MN passed away July 7th in Edgewood Vista.

Jim was born June 14, 1928 to parents Frank and Antoinette “Tina” Klejewski.

Jim first worked at the Steel Plant starting in 11th grade. He left there to go onto Zenith Machines making wringer washing machines from 1947 to 1948. Jim was drafted to the Army from 1950 to 1952 and was stationed in Japan. His favorite job was working as a Lineman Trainer at MN Power. He worked there from 1959 until he retired in 1990.

Jim was married to Betty Cheslak in 1955 until 1968. He then married the love of his life, Joan on August 22, 1970 and was together until she passed on December 29, 2011. They shared a son, Keith and his step-son Robert Daigle.

Jim loved the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish. He especially loved spending time at the hunting shack with friends, family and especially his two buddies Dan and Carl. He was very dedicated to his wife and son and spent most of his time with them.

Jim is preceded in death by his parents, beloved wife Joan, Step-son Robert Daigle, Brother Edward and Sister Dorothy Krauley.

He is survived by his son Keith, sister –in-law, Shirley Klejewski, nieces and nephews: Scott (Julie) Klejewski, Steve (Penny) Klejewski, Sherri (Glenn) Koosmann, Sandy Klejewski, Susan Lindbeck and Shawn (Brett) Quist and step grandson Daniel Daigle.

Visitation will be Friday, July 19 at 2pm and a memorial service at 3pm at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Avenue, Duluth, MN 218-624-5200.
