Obituary of Karen Swanson Haugdahl

Karen Swanson Haugdahl, Age 78, of Cloquet, Minnesota passed away at her home peacefully with family by her side on July 6, 2019. She worked at Lake Haven Manor (St. Eligius) until her retirement. She lived her life with great compassion, humor, wisdom and the gift of storytelling. Karen is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Haugdahl; Parents, William and Mamie Gregory. Karen is survived by her sons, Steve (Ngoc) Gregory, Bruce (Sue) Haugdahl, Richard Haugdahl and Her daughters, Susan (Bruce) Haugdahl, Heidi (Bob)Artisensi, Bev Swanson. Grandchildren: Michael (Alisha) Haugdahl, Amanda Haugdahl, Roger (Jess) Haugdahl, Robert (Jess) Swanson, Krista Haugdahl, Noelle (Danny) Gregory; Great-grandchildren, Austin, Caleb, Johnny, Nathan, Joey, Wilhelmina, Scarlet, Eithan and “LiL dude”, Who is arriving soon. Siblings : Joyce (Lou) Merchant, Patti (Paul) Anderson, Kenny (Kathleen) Gregory, Diane (Bob) Hygrell. Karen is also survived by her lifelong “Bestie,” Darlene Anderson;and her favorite furry friends, Chewy and Bailey. A celebration of life will be held later this summer. Arrangements are being provided by Cremation Society of Minnesota.
