Obituary of Kent G. Sweasy
Age 80, of Plymouth, MN passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2019.
Beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother, uncle and friend. Preceded in death by parents, Glenn and Alpha Sweasy and sister, Kristine Voldahl. Survived by loving wife of 52 years, Linda; daughters, Amy Sweasy and Amber Forster; sons-in-law, Joe Tamburino and Jay Forster; grandchildren, Joe (Desiraye), Jenna and John Tamburino and Nick and Cate Forster; great grandson, Jackson Tamburino; sister, Susan (Robert) Fuller; nieces and nephews as well as friends.
Kent was a sales representative in the paper and printing industries for over 50 years. A proud U. S. Marine! He was an avid reader and collector of Western Americana and World War II literature. Most of all he loved being with his family. His grandchildren meant the world to him.
Family wishes to thank the staff at The Willows, Maple Grove, MN for their compassionate care.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Kent’s life will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel (952-924-4100), 7110 France Ave. So., Edina, MN. Visitation 10:00 AM; Funeral Service 11:00 AM; Lunch to follow. Private interment.
If so desired, memorials preferred to the Wounded Warriors Project.
