Craig Leaman

Obituary of Craig Leaman

Craig Owen Leaman, 72, of Montgomery, MN passed away at home on July 4, 2019, after waging a valiant battle against his body that finally said, “no more.”

Craig was born in Waterloo, IA on September 13, 1946 and was preceded in death by his parents (Gladys and Owen “Bud”) and sisters (Sandy, Janice, and Vicki).

A creative dreamer who enjoyed woodworking, gardening, photography, and cooking anything (and everything) in the air fryer, Craig could be found cheering on the Derby horses in the spring, the Twins through the summer, and the Vikings during the fall.

He is survived by his family: wife, Delores; daughters Michelle Berger (David) and Angelakay Seehaver (Travis); stepchildren, Holli Berge (Tim) and Jon Menke (Lisa); grandchildren, Emma, Lewis, Wyatt, and Naev; and much-loved cat, Benny.

Gone too soon but never forgotten, Craig will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving husband, father, and grandfather, a fixer of problems, a supporter of dreams, a taker of risks, and a roller with the punches.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association or to the American Heart Association. A family celebration of life will be held later in the year.
