Obituary of Carolyn Jean Gellerstedt

On Tuesday June 25, 2019 Carolyn “Cado” Gellerstedt passed away peacefully at the age of 70. Carolyn was born November 8th, 1948 to Earl and Grace Ives, in Duluth, MN. She had 10 brothers and sisters. She married Jim Gellerstedt in 1966 and raised two children, Teri and Jay. Carolyn enjoyed camping, bowling, volleyball and travel. She was a vibrant and outgoing person. People were drawn to her sparkling personality, as she was quick to laugh and very loving. She was a strong willed and independent woman. A role model for her family and friends. Carolyn is survived by her two children Teri (Jon) Linder, Jay Gellerstedt, three grandchildren Garret Orville, Jamie (Shelby) Gellerstedt, and Kasa Gellerstedt. A celebration of life service will be held August 17th, 2019 at Northstar Academy in Duluth, MN at 1 o’clock p.m.
