Obituary of Christina Kimball

Christina Kimball, 82, of Esko, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at Essential Health Hospital, surrounded by her family.

She was born at home on the farm in the Sebeka, MN, area to Magnus and Edna Nelson.

Tina was preceded in death by her mother and father: brother, Claire Nelson; Husband Merl; Sister-in-law’s; Ruth Nelson, Delores (Mike) Curtis, brother-in-law’s; Cliff Ernest, Butch Kimball, and Eddie Kimball.

She is survived by her sons; Edwin (Kim) of Esko, Merl of Duluth, and Milo; grandchildren; Nicole (Michael) Heaser, Ashley Kimball, Jenna Kimball, Haley Kimball, Zane Kimball and Dominic McCallister; great grandchildren; McKinley Igo, Jaxton Igo, Wes Buschoff, Aubriell Diaz and Audriana Lachner; brothers; Chick Nelson, Stan (Judy) Nelson, Kenney (Shirley) Nelson,\; sister-in-law's; Carolyn Ernest, Velda Nelson; brother-in-law’s; Nels (Chris) Kimball, and Sherald Kimball.

Tina worked at St. Mary's Hospital for many years in data processing until she decided to become an RN, graduating from St. Scholastic.  She retired from Ah-gwah-ching State Hospital out of Walker, MN, in 1998, and went on to become a travelling Nurse.

Tina's passion for reading was extraordinary and love for her family and friends.  She loved to travel and made many memories with her travel companions, Carolyn and Barb.  She loved to bake and canned anything sweet.  Tine spent many years in Saw Bill Landing where she met her husband Merl.  She loved the simple life.

There will be a Prayer Service at 5:00 pm Thursday, June 27, 2019, with sharing of memories and pictures, 1 hour prior.  If you have any pictures you would like to share of Tina with the family, there will be a memory board for you to add to.

We would like to than Barnes Care, of Esko, for the loving care for Tina for the last year.
