Obituary of Jayne Swearingin

Swearingin, Jayne Marie (Lane) of Burnsville, MN passed away peacefully on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the age of 58 from over a five and half years of battling breast cancer. She was in her home surrounded by family. Jayne was born to parents Robert and Patricia Lane on April 20, 1961 in Minneapolis, MN. She grew up as the youngest of two and attended Richfield High School. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree from Mankato State University in Mass Communications. In 1999, she married Thomas Swearingin Jr of Liberty, MO. She worked in and out of television for many years and finally retired from Fox in April 2019 with over 18 years with them. Jayne and Thomas had one child, Connor in 2002 and he was the spotlight of her life. Jayne is survived by her husband, Thomas; her son, Connor; her mother, Patricia Olson; her father, Robert Lane and his wife Marjorie; her brother Jeff Lane and his wife Jacki; seven nieces and nephews plus four great-nieces and nephews. She also has a host of extended relatives and friends. A celebration of her life is being held on Saturday June 22 at Calvary Lutheran Church in south Minneapolis. Initial viewing begins at 1:00 p.m. and the service start at 2:00 p.m. with a reception being held afterwards in the cafeteria.
