Obituary of Robert K. Kullander

Roger K. Kullander

age 86, died June 17, 2019 in Edina, MN. Preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Carol; granddaughter, Karen Prather and sisters: Evelyn, Frances and Helen. Survived by daughter, Becky (John) Kirkham; son, Steve (Tricia); grandchildren: Heather Prather, Adam (Missy) Prather and Sam Kullander; great-grandchildren: Zane, Annabella, Cameron, Libby, Bodhi and Fallon and last but not least, his “Little Feller,” Fancy. Born in New London, MN and graduated from New London H.S., class of 1952. Served in the U.S. Army as an MP and is a veteran of the Korean War. Roger loved the American flag and what it stands for. He worked diligently in sales for Sherwin Williams and Wallboard. Won many national awards for top sales, but would always reflect on his time painting grain elevators as a teen. You would always gain his respect for working hard and being kind. In all reality, Roger was a man of leisure. You would always find him perched under the canopy of his pontoon at his beloved cabin, or sitting on the front porch at home, content in watching the cars pass by. Roger loved his coffee and his pork chops burnt. He had many friends and never wanted to miss a Wednesday lunch with the guys at Fong’s. Special thanks to all at Davita Dialysis, St. Louis Park for their many years of special care and genuine friendship and to N.C. Little Hospice for their special care of Roger and his family. Celebration of life will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2019 at American Legion Post 537, 21 Ash Street SE, New London, MN. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery, New London.
