Obituary of Nancy Jean (Michog) Schweikert

Nancy Jean (Michog) Schweikert of Poplar, WI, left to be with her Lord Savior unexpectedly on June 14, 2019.

She was born to Anton and Agnes Michog on July 6, 1961, in Duluth, MN. Nancy was a graduate of Hermantown High School and went on to receive a Bachelors Degree from the University of Minnesota, Duluth. Nancy was a loyal employee of 35+ years at Essentia in the Business Service Center. They have described Nancy as supportive and positive to anyone she encountered as well as extraordinary.

Nancy was an avid gardener and a true animal lover. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones, friends and family. She was known for her love of cooking and feeding her sons and all of their friends. Everyone who met her was drawn to her magnetic personality and contagious sense of humor.

Most of all Nancy loved her devoted husband, David, whom she married on September 4, 1999.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Anton Michog as well as her father-in-law, Charles Schweikert.

She will be sorely missed by her husband, David Schweikert; their three sons, Ryan (Sarah), Mathew and Philip (Samantha); two grandchildren, Sydney and Stetson; mother, Agnes Michog; siblings, Anthony (Pam) Michog, Wendy Link, Linda (Scott) Holmgren; mother-in-law, Hazel Schweikert; along with many nieces, nephews and extended family members; and beloved dogs, Moochi and Candy.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., at Darrow Road Wesleyan Church, 4020 S. Darrow Road, Superior, WI 54880.
